It has been a fascinating last 4 or 5 weeks pounding the streets of both Canterbury and Dover in support of our local Conservative candidates and I am delighted that they were both elected.
We are now in an interesting period at Westminster and I am looking forward to seeing how the new Coalition Government develops over the next few years. For my part as Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services at Kent County Council, I am committed to working with the new Government Health Team and local health partners here in Kent so that we develop our services in the very best way possible for elderly people and the other vulnerable people in Kent.
We all know that there will be financial cutbacks and I am determined to ensure that vital services for some of the most vulnerable people in our society are protected, developed and enhanced.

- I am the Kent County Councillor for Canterbury City North East. This comprises the Northgate and St. Stephens wards in Canterbury. I am also the Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services with Kent County Council. As a local Kent County Councillor I hold regular surgeries in the centre of Canterbury. To make an appointment please telephone 01227 280277. My surgeries are normally on the first Saturday of each month. I can normally arrange to meet residents at other times if that is more convenient.
