Clocking up the miles

I was very pleased to have a mention in Paul Francis' Off the Record column in the Kentish Gazette today.

It would seem from a KCC return of Member Expenses that I am the biggest user of public transport by KCC Members to reach County Hall and other places for meetings. I do consistently try to use the train to travel from Canterbury to Maidstone East whenever possible and I do hope that others who may read this blog will also consider when they can use public transport in preference to their cars. It is not always possible of course to use public transport and therefore from time to time I do have to use my car to travel around Kent.
